LAWSON, Anita – of Davison, MI, age 81, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Americana Seniors of Davison. A Memorial Service will be held 12:30 Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Judson Baptist Church, 4471 E. Atherton Road, Burton, MI 48519. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church for Missions.
Anita was born in Lapeer, MI on July 8, 1941, daughter of the late William and Doris (Scott) Darby. She married her high school sweetheart, Eugene H. Lawson, on September 20, 1958. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2011. Together they enjoyed owning and operating Potter Lake Shore Campground. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church where she was very active in many roles.
Anita is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Arndt) Weierstahl and Cherie Kukielka; grandchildren, Cassie (Dan) Baldwin, Krystal (Osinachi) Okete, Katarina, Kaytie, Krysti and Kristian Weierstahl; great grandchildren, Kaiden Baldwin, Olanna Okete and Amara Okete; sister-in-law, Nancy Mathews; friend, Sue Opperman; and many other loving cousins, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Kukielka; brother-in-law, James Lawson.
