JOHNSON, Mary Agnes (Figula) – of Burton, MI, age 86, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:30 PM Thursday, May 11, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Thursday, May 11, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association, in Mary’s memory.
Mary was born in Flint, MI on February 2, 1937, daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Rohac) Figula. She married Frederick Johnson on July 9, 1955 in Flint, MI. Mary was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, celebrating holidays with her family, traveling, taking pictures and trips to the casino.
Mary is survived by her husband, Frederick Johnson; 5 children, Maureen (Randy) Darling, Freddie (Connie) Johnson, Tina (John) Conley, Tim (Lori) Johnson and Colleen (Marc) Brooke; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Margaret Figula; brother, Stephen (Jane) Figula and sister, Margaret Stankewicz.
