BRATTON, Cletis “Peewee” – of Davison, MI age 89, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Sugarbush Living. A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti, officiating. Private burial will take place following the service at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8PM Monday and 11AM–1PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Cletis was born in Dumas, Arkansas on August 26, 1932, son of the late Joseph and Elnora (Smith) Bratton. He married Ruth Brunsden on September 17, 1955, in Flint, MI. He retired from Buick City in 1993 after 40 years of service. He was a loyal member of the UAW local 599. Cletis enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling, woodworking, hunting and playing pool. Cletis supported and helped with the building of the Davison Playscape at Abernathy Park.
Cletis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth; 4 sons, Jim (Kim), Ken (Maria), Rob (Christy) and Tim (Grace); grandchildren, Jimmy, Melissa, Andrew, Kate, Caleigh, Samantha, Sarah, Elise, Grace, Oscar, Elena and Karianne; great-grandchildren, Ally, Jayden, Kameron, James, Jordyn, Thea, Riley and Cayden; sister, Margaret (Frank) Kinkle; many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by grandson, Derek (2011); daughter-in-law, Char (2017), 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
