Mary Theresa Prchlik, age 93, died peacefully at McLaren Flint Hospital on January 7, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rossell Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, and one hour at the church before the Funeral Mass. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.
Mary was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 9, 1932, to Joseph and Amelia (Menzel) Dick. She married John Prchlik on April 23,1955 at St Michael Church in New Lothrop, Michigan.
Throughout her life, Mary liked going on cruise vacations with John, camping with friends, gardening, sewing, crafts, playing the accordion, knitting mittens for children and cooking for the family.
Mary loved God and was a faithful member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her sons, Scott Prchlik, Steven Prchlik (Kim); daughter, Nancy Essler and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Jeremy Prchlik (Christy Sokolowski), Megan Floria (Mike), Jonathan Prchlik, Sarah Torony (Nick), Angela Prchlik, Emily Prchlik (husband Nicholas Roddy), Ryan Prchlik, Robert Essler (Arika), Rachel Essler, Blaine Prchlik, Kyle Prchlik and Chase Prchlik; great-grandchildren, Louie Torony, Joanna Torony, Madelyn Floria, Elizabeth Floria and Madelyn Essler; brother Edward Dick and his wife Mary; and sister-in-law, Shirley Dick.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband John; and sons, John T. Prchlik, Robert Prchlik and James Prchlik; her parents; brothers, John (Marge) Dick, Joseph Dick; sister, Margaret Prchlik; brother-in-law, Joseph Prchlik; brother-in-law, Edward Prchlik (Emily); and many beloved cousins. |
