HARROD, Louis II – of Grand Blanc, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan 48423; Pastor Brad Lake officiating. Entombment will take place following the service at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-7 PM on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Louis was born in Flint, Michigan on June 8, 1961, the son of the late Louis Sr. and Carol (Carter) Harrod. For more than 40 years, Louis owned and operated Louis Harrod Painting, building a respected and successful business through dedication, skill, and integrity. When the workday was done, he enjoyed relaxing, kicking back, and sharing a cold beer with family and friends. An avid deer hunter and bass and pike fisherman, Louis felt most at home outside—whether in the woods, on the water, or tending to his garden. Each year he looked forward to planting and harvesting, proudly making blackberry jelly and fresh salsa from what he grew with his own hands. Louis was a longtime member of the Burton Eagles #3814 and the Moose Lodge #2344 of Grand Blanc, where he valued the friendships and fellowship he found there. Known for his willingness to lend a hand, he was always ready to help anyone in need. Louis will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the simple joys he found in nature, good company, and a life well lived.
Louis is survived by son, Louis (Linda) Harrod III; fiancé, Gloria Worsham; grandchildren: Louie (Maddie) Johnson, Emily (Andrew) Hensley, Persephone Halstead, David McCord, Becca Farmer, and Trenton Harrod; several great grandchildren; brother, Scott (Diane) Harrod; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Ann Harrod II.
