SIMPSON, Kimberly Kaye – of Burton, age 66, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Deacon Richard Badics officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.
Kimberly, born in Flint on July 7, 1957, was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Ilene (Kozlowski) Ouimette. A graduate of high school, she furthered her education at Baker College, showcasing her determination and strong work ethic. Kimberly dedicated many years of her life as a legal secretary, exemplifying her commitment and diligence in her professional pursuits. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her generosity, offering her legal expertise to assist women in need at the YWCA through volunteer work. Her artistic talents were multifaceted, with a remarkable gift for both music and painting. Whether singing, playing various instruments, or showcasing her artistic skills on canvas, Kimberly's creativity knew no bounds. She enjoyed participating in the Crim Race. However, her ultimate source of joy was her family, and she found the greatest fulfillment in spending quality time with her loved ones. Kimberly's legacy is one of hard work, generosity, and a vibrant passion for the arts and community service. She will be remembered fondly for her contributions to both her professional field and the well-being of those around her.
Kaye is survived by her loving children, Maria (Eric) Eberlein, Christina (Matthew) Maynard and Brandon (Amanda) Shiflett; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Brandon, Nathan, Cameron, Edgar, Melissa, Noah, Christopher, Matti, Tressa and Taylor; 3 great-grandchildren, Oakley, Ella and Riley; 2 sisters, Vicky (Richard) Badics and Kathy Miller; and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Umphrey and one brother, Chuck Ouimette.
