GIBBS (Kramer), Kathleen “Kathy” Anne – of Montrose, age 67, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Rev. Fr Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2022. The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Kathy was born June 17, 1955 in Flint, Michigan to the late Gerald and Jean (Emery) Kramer. She grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Hill McCloy High School with the class of 1974. On October 15, 1983 she married Randy Gibbs at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose, Michigan. Prior to her retirement in 2004, Kathleen worked for Genesee County Animal Control as an Animal Control Officer with 28 years of service. She was a member of the Audubon Society and Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Kathy enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and her pets. However, her greatest joy in life was her family. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to DaVita Dialysis, U of M Health, and The Care Team Hospice.
Surviving are: Husband of 38 years, Randy Gibbs; Children, Steven (Bethany) Gibbs, David (Kristan) Gibbs; Granddaughter, Emery Gibbs; Siblings, Theresa (Larry) Moffitt, Barbara Hawkins, Daniel(Cathy) Kramer, Michael Kramer, Patrick (Vicki) Kramer, Lesley (Jim) Bates; Brother in law, Gary Gibbs; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, John Kramer; Brother in law, Bill Hawkins; Nephew, James Michael Moffitt.
