WILSON, William D. “Bubba” - Of Clio, age 76, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Cranberry Park Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Sean Kennedy officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Boy Scouts of America.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
William was born in Flint, Michigan on March 16, 1942, the son of the late John and Alice (Dewey) Wilson.
On December 13, 2003 he married Marilyn Thomas.
He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a Boy Scout Master and loved hunting and shooting.
He had a great sense of humor, was quick-witted and loved laughing with family and friends.
Mr. Wilson retired from GM.
Surviving are children, Edward and wife Victoria Wilson,
Michael and wife Wendy Wilson;
and their mother, Janet York;
grandchildren, Drake and Jayda;
sister-in-law, Margaret Wilson;
many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends;
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; sisters, Barbara Millington and Betty Herrington; brother, Jack Wilson.
