BONNELL, John James, Sr. – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 88, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at The Oaks at Woodfield in Grand Blanc, MI. Cremation has taken place. Per John’s request, there will be no services.
John was born in Flint, MI on February 14, 1930, son of the late James and Joanne (Charouhis) Bonnell. He met Mary Ann Fish and they were married on February 4, 1950. John and Mary Ann loved to travel and after retiring they wintered in Arizona, where they met many new friends. He retired from Franchi Distributers in 1995. John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his Detroit Lions and Pistons.
John is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Ann; 4 children, John J. Jr. (Marilyn) of Phoenix, AZ, Dennis Bonnell of Lapeer, MI, Cynthia McLachlan of Phoenix, AZ and Gregory (Cynthia) Bonnell of Davison, MI; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings, Nicholas, Peter and Theodora.
