KIRBY, Linda L. (Marsa)– of Flint, MI, age 78, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at The Villages of Lapeer. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Linda’s memory.
Linda was born in Flint, MI on April 9, 1943, daughter of the late Howard and Reita (Ludwig) Marsa. Linda graduated from Flint Central High School in 1961. She married Chancie Kirby on February 3, 1968, he preceded her in death in 1991. Linda worked for the Flint Police Department and Data Processing before moving into her final role as Payroll Coordinator before she retired in 1989. She loved the simple things in life, going for long rides in the country and spending time with her family. She held her dear friends and family near and loved them all to the fullest.
Linda is survived by daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) McAuliffe; 6 grandchildren, Brandon (Brooke Scott) Measel, Jacob (Jaycie) Measel, Brittany (Zach) Rosenmund, Christopher Hillard, Shane McAuliffe, Matt McAuliffe; great grandchild, Xavier Rosenmund; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Reita Marsa; husband, Chancie Kirby; sisters, Nadien Thomas and Carolyn McDonald; brothers, Howard Marsa and James Marsa.
