George was born December 21, 1963, in Flint, to George Gleffe and Mary Laird. He attended Millington High School and was the assembly line supervisor at Corsair Engineering, Inc. in Flint for over 25 years. During his younger years, he attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. George shared many memorable years with his dear friend and mother of his children, Wendy Hohenstein. He enjoyed taking his Harley Davidson motorcycle out for rides and was a man of all trades who was always there when you needed him. George was quite the jokester who often cracked jokes or played pranks on his loved ones. He loved watching his children and grandchildren grow and he cherished every moment spent with family - he was especially proud of his son, Joshua, who is currently serving in the United States Army. Above all, George was the best father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
George is forever loved by his children: Zeth (Sabrina) Gleffe, George Paul (Danielle) Gleffe, Sasha Thatcher, Jesse (Kelly) Hohenstein, and Joshua Thatcher; Grandchildren: Ellott, Kalianna, Christopher, Link, and Harlee “Crabby Pants”; Mother, Mary Laird; Sister, Cynthia Stoltenberg; Brother, Tim Gleffe; Godchildren: Cory Callender and Joseph Callender; Special Friend, Wendy Hohenstein; Work Family: Tim, Sean, Rex, and David; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. George was preceded in death by his father, George Gleffe; Siblings: Pamela Mangold, Thomas Gleffe, and twin sister, Mary Ann Gleffe.
