BELL, Michael – of Davison, MI, age 70, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Morris Moos officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, in Great Lakes National Cemetery on a later date. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2020 and 12-1 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or a charity of one’s choice, in Mike’s memory.
Mike was born in Muskegon, MI on July 13, 1950, son of the late Kingsley and Frances (Bourdon) Bell. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1970. Mike married Jackie Sue Porter on January 15, 1979. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Mike was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed making model airplanes, boats, and cars. Mike also loved fishing and mowing the yard.
Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jackie Bell; 3 children, Michael “Little Mike” Bell, Donaven (Jeanine) Bell and Douglas Bell; grandson, Blake Bell; special daughter, Courtney Moore (Trevor Kubitskey); special son, Justin Moore (Callahan); sister, Kathleen (Ed) Rapacz; many nieces and nephews; dear friends, James Moore (Vicki DeKruger) and Lisa Collins; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kingsley and Frances Bell; dear friend, Monica Moore and his service dog, Liberty.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice and Cindy Ambs from Right at Home for her dedicated and compassionate care of Mike.
