FRIDA WILHELMINE SCHACHER (PFARR)
FLINT, MI
Age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 19, 2024. A Christian Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 26th, 2024 at 11 am at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint, MI 48506; Pastor Jeff Frechette officiating. Internment will take place at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI, on Sunday, February 25th, from 4 pm to 6 pm, and one hour before the funeral at the church.
Frida was born on March 20th, 1933, to Frida (Schuler) and Josef Pfarr in Neckarsulm, Germany. She was the oldest of 4 children; herself, Irmgard, Erika and Gerhard. Frida was married to her husband, Paul, on January 30th 1954. This year was their 70th wedding anniversary. They had 3 children; Linda, Ricky and Diane.
Frida was a proud housewife raising her three children. For short periods of time, she worked doing house cleaning, as an operator at Warram Manufacturing and at Pepsi Cola, both in Flint. FRIDA LOVED PLAYING CARDS AND GOING OUT TO EAT. Her favorite card games were euchre and Skip-Bo. Frida was honored to be a Naturalized American Citizen on April 10th, 1962. She was a life-long member of Davison VFW Auxiliary 4087 and a regular attendee at East Side Senior Center, Flint.
To loving memory she leaves behind; husband Paul, sister Erika Schlaud, son Rick Schacher (Regina), daughter Linda Warren (Robert), sister-in-law Beverly Daly, brother-in-law Gary Schacher, and grandchildren; Tracy Marlow (Ethan), Carmen Ainsley (Paul), Andrew Schacher (Cassie), Kelsey Didier, Cora Fang (Brian), Alisa Dunn, Kayla Colerick (Mark), and Jonny Dunn (Grace). She also leaves behind great-grandchildren; Arianna McCreary (Dominic), Hudson, Mila, Paul Royce, Maverick, Gianna, Miles, Amelia, Tyson, Gage, Mason, Shiloh, Jaxon, Conner, Brooklyn and Sunny. Recently, she was blessed with one great-great grandchild; Juniper McCreary.
Frida was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Dunn, her mother and father, her brother, her sister Irmgard (Eduard), her brothers-in-law; James Schlaud and Dick Daly, her sister-in-law Eunice Lockrey (Jerry), her granddaughter Shannon Church (surviving husband Jeff); and her niece Sandra Passow (surviving husband Jerry).
Gifts in her memory can be given to St. Mark Lutheran Church, or to your favorite charity. The family would also like to thank all those who gave her their tender care.
