SEBERT, Virginia “Ginny” – of Burton, age 77, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the University of Michigan Medical Center. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM Friday, December 6, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant, with one hour of visitation prior to mass. The family will also welcome visitors from 4-7 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home. Interment will be 10:30 AM Monday, December 9, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442.
Ginny was born in Flint, Michigan on December 14, 1946 the beloved daughter of the late David and Virginia (Reynolds) Peterfi. On May 28, 1966, she married Larry Sebert in Flint, and together they shared a life full of love and adventure. Ginny had a deep passion for traveling, particularly enjoying cruises to various destinations. She cherished spending time with her family, always finding joy in hosting gatherings, parties, and holidays at her home. Ginny was also an avid reader and loved playing cards, activities that brought her great happiness. Professionally, she spent 30 years at Raytheon in El Segundo, California, where she worked in IT Management before retiring. Ginny had a special affection for animals and loved the companionship of her pets. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.
Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Larry; children, Larry (Dorcas) Sebert, Anthony Sebert and Daryl Sebert; grandson, Tristan (Sarah) Briggs; great granddaughter, Eden Briggs; siblings: David (Sheryl) Peterfi, Robert (Karen) Peterfi, Gus Peterfi, Mark Peterfi; sister-in-law, Donna Peterfi; faithful companions, Smokey and Stormy; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings: Edna Premo, Marty Peterfi, John Peterfi, and step-brother Harry Erity.
