Bernadine M. Wasserman, 81, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Home. She was born on May 11, 1929 to Joseph and Mary (Nowicki) Marciniak in Toledo, Ohio. Bernadine married her husband of 58 years, Leonard Wasserman on May 10, 1952. Together they raised eight children. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and was Past President of the Altar Rosary Society.
Bernadine is survived by her loving family, husband, Leonard; children Mary J. Wasserman, Joseph (Connie) Wasserman, Gerry (Anne) Wasserman, Theresa (Joseph Jr.) Romano, Susan J. Kline, Rosanne (Tom) Beaverson, Patricia (John) Zimmerman and Ann (Matt) Pumphrey; 22 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and her brother, Robert (Nancy) Marciniak.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. where family will greet friends two hours prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor or the St. Ignatius Building Fund.
