ARCHER, John P. – of Davison, MI, age 70, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held on a later date.

John was born in Flint, MI on September 3, 1951, son of the late Don and Eileen (Hancock) Archer. After graduating from high school, he attended Mott Community College, Michigan State University and Theology College. John also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. On August 7, 1981, John married the love of his life and soul mate, Carol L. Main. John had a career in the business equipment field. Due to his incredible work ethic, John was able to advance many times before retiring from IKON Office Solutions. He was an avid sports fan, mainly the Detroit Lions and all Michigan State University sports. John was also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle aficionado. He and Carol enjoyed many rides and events. John deeply loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at his cabin in Northern Michigan. He was like a journeyman tradesman of all trades, a gift he inherited from his father. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or build. He loved a challenge. John was also a devout Christian who read his Bible daily and attended Family Community Church of the Nazarene.

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol L. Archer; 4 children, John Manley Archer, Robin (Kevin) Waite, Nikki (Dan) Dutcher and Carolyn Jackson; 5 grandchildren, Chris Dutcher, Matt Dutcher, Madelyn Anderson, Nick Anderson and Kelsea Waite; sister, Gloria (John) Krohn; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Eileen Archer.
