KUIAWA, Deborah Lynn - age 65, of Fenton, died August 3, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home where an Order of Easter Star memorial will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Gift of Life - Michigan (www.giftoflifemichigan.org). Deborah was born January 30, 1957 in Flint, the daughter of Edward Franklin and Joyce Louise (Castles) Milam. She married David A. Kuiawa on May 1, 1976. Deborah was a licensed insurance agent specializing in helping senior citizens with Medicare and Medicaid. She loved helping them navigate this complicated process. Deborah enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Alexis and making clothing for her dolls. Surviving are: husband, David Kuiawa; son, Jason (Andrea) Kuiawa; granddaughter, Alexis Kuiawa; father, Edward F. Milam; sister, Karen Schmidt; mother-in-law, Joan Kuiawa; brother-in-law, Michael Kuiawa; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: mother, Joyce L. Milam; father-in-law, Anthony "Leo" Kuiawa; sisters, Judith Kalush and Kathy Gibson; brothers-in-law, Daniel Schmidt and Thomas Kuiawa. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
