RUTLEDGE, Michael Lee "Mike"- Age 64, of Burton, passed away, Sunday, March 13, 2022 following a short and brave battle with ALS, Mike went home to Glory surrounded by his loving family and friends. Funeral Services 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at The River Church 8393 E. Holly Rd., Holly. Pastor Caleb Combs officiating. Visitation 2:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc and 10:00 AM until the time of service Thursday at Church. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. For those desiring, Memorial Contributions in Mile's memory may be made to The River Church, Holly.
Mike was born, September 24, 1957 in Flint to Donald Zane and Nordeen (Wilder) Rutledge. Mike met his future bride Susan (Bailey) when they were both students at Kearsley High School. Mike and Susan had a beautiful love story and celebrated 44 years of marriage together. Mike and Susan raised two sons; Ryan Lee (Maria) and Scott Michael (Brooke). In 2019, Mike retired from General Motors after 42 years of service. Mike loved to golf, ride his Harley, spend time outdoors, and enjoy the company of his family. He was an active member of the River Church and served as a Greeter there.
Left to cherish Mike's memory are his beloved wife, Susan; his two sons, Ryan (Maria) of Clio, and Scott (Brooke) of Davison; grandchildren, Alexander Michael, Vincent William, Riley Sue, Adeline Iris Esther, Miles Ezra, Elliott Paul, Liam Thomas, and Rayna Amelia; siblings, Donald "Reb" (Gloria), Melissa (John) , Glori, and Sandy; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank McLaren Hospice and The River Church family for their loving care and support.
