STARR, Faith “Gretchen” – Of Flint, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Gretchen was born in Flint, Michigan on February 26, 1953, daughter of the late Earl Coad and Mary (Ford) Carpenter.
She was a Girl Scout leader and member of Daughters of the Union. She loved scrapbooking, was a Civil War reenactor and world traveler.
Gretchen worked at Genesee County Clerk’s Office and Oakland County Friend of the Court.
Surviving are son, Dakota and his father, Michael Starr;
step-father, James Carpenter;
brothers, Richard and wife Joyce Hammel,
Bud and wife Judy Coad,
Bill Coad and
Steve Carpenter;
sisters, Nancy Robinson and Pam Spencer;
many nieces, nephews and cousins.
