It was a beautiful life from the start. Dale was born March 14, 1936, in Owosso, MI as the son of Lawrence and Clara (Evans) Constine. He graduated from St. Paul Catholic School, class of 1955. Dale married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Caron, February 2, 1957 (Groundhog Day) at St. Paul Catholic Church. Dale and Lorraine raised their five children in Owosso, MI, and their family attended St. Paul Catholic Church and School for many generations. In their retirement years, Dale and Lorraine have attended Holy Family Catholic Church of Ovid.
Dale loved working and building a life outside. He was the co-owner of Owosso Trailer Park with his wife, Lorraine. They also started Constine Sand and Gravel and sold RVs and bottled gas after his start as a farmer. Dale was the first fire chief of the Owosso Township Fire Department. He was late for the first meeting, so they elected him as chief before he arrived. Dale was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a trustee of Owosso Township Board.
Dale was fortunate enough to live his life in splendor.
His favorite hobbies included hunting, snowmobiling, and boating the Great Lakes and Canada with his family. Upon retirement Dale built his home on a lake named after his wife. He and Lorraine enjoyed traveling together and spending their winters in Florida. They have shared a beautiful life together for 66 years.
A dream come true… Dale is surrounded by his family here, all together. We celebrate the beautiful life of Dale Constine.
Dale is survived by his loving wife Lorraine D. Constine (Caron), their five children, Mike (Monica) Constine of Ovid, Renee (Doug) Janes of Haslett, Mark (Judy) Constine of Ovid, Rusty Constine of Ft. Myers, and Rod (Nicky) Constine of Ovid; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley McCullough of Owosso; and brothers-in-law Keith Ellis of Owosso and Ben Coy of Bradenton.
Dale was predeceased by sisters Rita Coy, Loretta Jaskiewicz, and Arlene (Tony) Sumbera; brothers Roy (Veda) Constine and Roger Constine; and sister-in-law Jackie Ellis (Caron) of Owosso.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Family Catholic Church of Ovid, MI and/or Compassus (Hospice & Palliative Care) of Lansing.
