NARAGON, Angeline “Angie”- of Clio, formerly of Newberry, Michigan, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be held 12PM, Friday, July 1, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service.
Angie was born December 25, 1949, in Newberry, to the late Noah and Mary (Calkins) Jacko. She attended Northwestern High School where she received her high school diploma with the class of 1969. Angie married Richard Naragon and together they raised two beautiful children. Richard preceded her in death in 2003. In 2008, Angie met Bob Bigra and together they shared 14 wonderful years together. She worked for General Motors as a line worker for 31 years before retirement. Angie was very proud of her Native American heritage and was a Tribe Elder who provided wisdom and leadership to those around her. She volunteered her services at the Genesee County Indian Center until they closed in 1992 and the Flint Journal where she read to the blind. Angie kept her hands busy gardening, doing bead work, and was a fantastic seamstress. She enjoyed reading thrillers, science fiction, and even a good romance novel from time to time. Angie was a calm-natured woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Angie is forever loved by her son, Michael Naragon; Grandchildren: Tyler Deville, Zachary Naragon, Madison Sherman, Kyle Naragon, and Trent Naragon; Great grandchildren: Juliet and Adrien Naragon; Siblings: Walter (Janice) Jacko, Russell (Sue) Jacko, Dale Jacko, Nora (Robert) Anderson, Doris (Larry) Winslow, Lora (Mike) Jacko; Significant other of 14 years, Bob Bigra; Best friends: Cathy and Carol; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, those who considered Angie a second mother, and wonderful friends. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Mary; Husband, Richard Naragon; Daughter, Laura DeVille; Sisters: Lalah Blake and Mary Mendez; Nephew, T.J. Luxton. |
