FRAIM, David – of Davison age 83, passed away on October 8, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2023, at Forest Township Hall, 130 E. Main Street, Otisville, MI 48463. A private inurnment will be held in Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anchored Heart Senior Living, 11274 Hill Road, Goodrich, MI 48438 or the American Cancer Society in Dave’s name.
David Floyd Fraim was born in Davison on November 10, 1939, son of Harvey and Florence (Wilken) Fraim. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees from 1958 until 1962. Dave worked for many years as a bricklayer and a bricklaying instructor. He served as the business agent for Bricklayers and Allied Crafts, Local 12. Dave was an avid hiker, spending time in the Smoky Mountains and found joy in gaining knowledge about Native American history. He was a gifted painter and was known for his legendary rib fest. Dave’s greatest joy was spending time with family, especially attending events for his grandchildren.
David is survived by his children, Chris (Sue) Fraim, Eric (Alice) Fraim and Amy (Larry) Graham; four grandchildren, Clay Fraim, Jack Fraim, Morgan Graham, Matthew Graham; three siblings, Ron Fraim, Terry Fraim, Carole James; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ted Fraim.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Anchored Heart Senior Living and McLaren Hospice.
