Samuel Jack Raber of Flint, age 76, died Thursday December 2, 2021 at Ascension-Genesys Hospital. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. No public services are being held. Those desiring may make contributions in Sam’s memory to his family c/o of Michael Raber.
Samuel was born in Flint Michigan on September 23, 1945 the son of the late William and Pauline (Landis) Raber, and has resided in the Flint-Burton his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Judy Lou Owens in 1966 and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2021. Samuel proudly served the residents of his community as a Volunteer for the Burton Fire Department for over thirty years. Sam was a hard worker and had been employed by the City of Burton DPW until his retirement; he also spent many years as employee of Burton City Towing.
Surviving are his children: Michael Raber, Kevin Raber, and Karen Raber. He also leaves his five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister Ginger Latchaw, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by grandson Ethan, and sisters; Judy Raber, Alice Howard, and brothers: Edwin Raber and William Raber. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
