FARAH, Juliette – Of Flint, age 81, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her residence.
Private family service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, Reverend Father Joseph Abud officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Juliette was born on July 28, 1939 in Jerusalem, Palestine.
Her family immigrated to the U.S. after their home in Jerusalem was taken by the State of Israel.
She arrived in the U.S. in 1969 as many Farah family members from Palestine had come to Flint, including her brother, George.
Juliette worked at McLaren Hospital and then at General Motors between 1970-2005 when she retired.
Juliette’s parents, Said and Naifeh passed away in the 1970’s as did her sister Mary.
Her brother George passed away in 2009.
Her brother Basil survives her and lives in Hamilton, Ohio, with his wife Houda and family.
Juliette loved cats and the neighborhood cats used to come to her home for free food and care.
Juliette loved her family, and especially her nephews and nieces and frequently brought them gifts. She was extremely generous and was well loved by all that knew her.
Over the past 5 years she resided at McFarlan Home in the Flint Cultural Center area. The staff at McFarlan took great care of Juliette and she enjoyed living there and making friends.
