MOSBY, Kathleen (Whitcomb) – of Genesee Twp., age 83, passed away on October 26, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Eastside Flint Community of Christ, 2120 Wilmar St., Burton, MI 48509; Pastor John Hart officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Eastside Flint Community of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Kathleen’s memory.
Kathleen was born on November 8, 1939 in Genesee Twp., MI, daughter of the late Coleman and Ethel (Gunsell) Whitcomb. She married Russell Mosby on August 16,1958 and he preceded her in death in January 26, 1990. Kathleen was strong in her faith and was a lifetime member of Eastside Flint Community of Christ, where she would volunteer often. Kathleen enjoyed many things such as bowling, gardening, baking cakes, going to the casino, and playing BINGO. In her spare time, she also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Family and friends could always anticipate a loving greeting card from Kathleen regularly. You could also find her friendly smiling face working at the Sweet Shoppe in Burton, MI. Kathleen was loved by all and will be missed by everyone.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Anna (Roger) Tondu, Russell Mosby, Jr. and Kurt (Jennifer) Mosby; grandchildren, Roger, Kendra, Amber, Nikki, Tori, Aric and Austin; great-grandchild, Abel Mosby; sister, Linda Rensberry; several nieces and nephews; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Delisa Mosby; brother, Danny and sister, Rosalie (Fred) Turkovics.
