DOUGHERTY, Diane C. – Of Grand Blanc, age 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Regency at Grand Blanc.
A private funeral service will be held.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Visitation 1 p.m.–4 p.m. and 6 p.m.–8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
Diane was born in Flint, Michigan on June 24, 1945, the daughter of the late Donald and Genevieve (Hodson) Sellers.
On June 20, 1964 she married Gary Dougherty and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2014.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, golfing and spending time with her family.
Surviving are 3 children, Michelle and husband Kevin Cashin,
Renee and husband Gary Struck,
Michael and wife Amy;
6 grandchildren, Brittany, Chelsey, Kellie, Thomas, Steven and Joseph;
2 great-grandchildren, Tucker and Charleigh;
3 brothers, Gary and wife Lois Sellers,
Rod Sellers, sister-in-law, Ellen Sellers;
Doug Sellers;
sister, Sue and husband George Zelenbaba;
she leaves to cherish her memory, Richard Hickmott;
many nieces and nephews.
