Phyllis A. Curry age 78 of Durand, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2024 at the Durand Senior Care and Rehab Center. A memorial service will be 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Phyllis Ann McColman was born July 1, 1946 in Fenton, a daughter of Duncan and Mary (Johnson) McColman. She enjoyed playing BINGO, Canasta, doing crossword puzzles, socializing with friends and family, listening to music, singing and dancing. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a tax accountant for many years.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Duane) Ballard; grandchildren, Bryan, Alyssa, Alenah, Natasha, Andrew, Anthony, Nathan, Travis and Toni; sisters, Mary and Sally; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Curry; son, Tony; siblings, Duncan McColman III, Rory McColman, Laura Hermstein and Patrick McColman; parents, Duncan and Mary McColman.
