Linda Lee (Rhodes) Yorke, born May 12, 1948, peacefully passed away on December 14, 2023, surrounded by her family. A resident of Millington, Michigan, Linda graduated from Millington High School in 1966, where she met her late husband David Yorke, and they shared 29 years of marriage. She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother.
After briefly working at Saginaw Steering Gear, Linda dedicated herself to Millington Community Schools, serving as a clerk and secretary until her retirement. She was a vibrant member of her community as she was active with the Millington United Methodist Church and the Millington Community Center, among other activities.
She leaves behind three children: Jeff (Amy) Yorke, John (Kelly) Yorke, and Anne (Brett) McCall, along with cherished grandchildren Katherine (Payton), Zachary, Emma, Nicholas, and Trenton. Two sisters, Jackie Hysmith and Marilyn (Andy) Ameres of Florida, and a brother, Charles Watts, also survive her.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years David Yorke and her parents John and Marcella Rhodes.
Visitation is scheduled at Hanlin Funeral Home - Millington on Monday, December 18th, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Millington United Methodist Church (9020 State Road, Millington, MI 48746) with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Following, Linda will be laid to rest in the Millington Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for their loving assistance. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Millington Community Center as a tribute to Linda's memory.
