CRAVEN, Gary Lynn - Age 64, of Durand, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. A celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Gary's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) with burial immediately following in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Gary was born May 29, 1958 in Durand, the son of Jerry and Judy (Ade) Craven. He was a 1977 graduate of Durand High School. He had resided in Durand his entire life. Gary was employed by Waste Management in Lennon as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, riding quads and snowmobiles, watching Nascar, drinking Pepsi, and most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving are: his sons, Brad Craven of Bancroft, John (Ashley) Craven of Durand and David Craven of Durand; grandchildren. Alainah, Leyvi, Colton, Connor, Cheryl and Carson; parents, Jerry and Judy Craven of Durand; siblings, Richard Craven of Durand, Ron (Marsha) Craven of Florida, Rose Craven-Lawson of Fenton and Dennis (Cathy) Craven of Belleville; and several nieces and nephews.
