JUNE, Gary – of Goodrich, MI, age 83, passed away on December 20, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at his farm at a time to be announced in the Spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Gary was born in Elba Township, Michigan on December 29, 1938, son of the late Donald and Gertrude (Glady) June. He married Kathleen VanRiper on January 21, 1961 in Vernon, Michigan. He was employed by General Motors as a Toolmaker for 38 years, retiring in 1997. Gary raised hay, cattle, sheep and horses on his farm in Goodrich for 59 years. He was a scratch golfer, making three hole-in-ones at the Goodrich Country Club over the years. Gary also was an avid hunter who loved to hunt pheasants in the fall with his Brittany Spaniels. He also loved to deer hunt on his farm and on his property in Lewiston.
Gary is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, Barry (Cynthia) June; daughter, Shelly Blonshine; daughter, Debra Flotemersch; grandsons, Robert June, Brent, Peter and Bailey Blonshine, Harry, Matthew and Benjamin Flotemersch; granddaughters, Madeline and Elizabeth June; sister, Linda Ripenbark; brother, Dean (Susan) June; special nephew, Matthew Scott. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Gertrude June and son-in-law, Harry Flotemersch.
