John David Miller of Swartz Creek passed January 5, 2022, at the age of 75. John was born on August 3rd, 1946, in Gladwin, Michigan to John and Bertha Miller. John proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the Marine Corps. Following his time in the military, John worked for Michigan Bell for 31 years. John leaves a memorial contribution to the VFW of Genesee County.
John is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janice Miller; son Matthew Miller; daughter-in-law Natalie Miller; son Jonathan Miller; daughter-in-law Alexandra Miller; granddaughter Elena Miller; and granddaughter to be born in the coming weeks. John also leaves behind his sister Katherine Mason; brother-in-law Tom Mason; brother Tyler Miller; sister-in-law Barb Miller; several sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and special friends Robert Ripka, Dan McMahon, and Pete Zoulik.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Swartz Funeral Home located on Hill Rd. in Flint, Michigan from 3pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Swartz Funeral Home located at 1225 West Hill Rd. in Flint, Michigan, at 12pm. John will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery following the service. |
