Finks, Delmar Lee of Flushing, age 73, died Monday, December 16, 2024, at McLaren-Flint. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Delmar was born on April 11, 1951, the son of Buryl and Mary (Stanbough) Finks. Delmar worked for 42 years, retired from Saturn Electronics and Engineering in Oxford. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was fishing or camping. Delmar was an avid U of M and Detroit Lions football fan. He loved playing cards, especially Euchre. Delmar was a homebody who loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Wrightman, Sheila (Dana Denslow) Newcombe, Bryan Finks, Jody (Timothy) McAuliffe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Teresa (Ron) Lee, Karin (Bob) Holtz, Teana (Ted) Costonde; sisters-in-law, Sarah Finks and Christine Finks. Delmar was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Finks, Danny Finks, Jim (Brenda) Hall; grandchildren, Ezriel, Adrial, Braxton; son-in-law, Richard Todd; and former spouse, Karen Ojala.
