BROWN, Joan - Age 85 of Fenton, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation.4PM-7PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, and 10 AM Wednesday until the time of Mass at church. A Rosary will be recited 7PM Tuesday. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Joan's memory would be appreciated to Adopt a Pet Fenton.
Joan was born July 2, 1937 in Flint, the daughter of Ernest and Anna Maria (Scott) Howell. She married George R. Brown in Flint , September 10, 1955. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Flint. Joan was employed as an Executive Secretary with GM having retired in 1986. She was an excellent at Cross Stitching, and avid reader who also enjoyed crafting. Joan was an excellent cook.
Joan is survived by her husband of 66 plus years, George; her son, Steven D. Brown, siblings, Teena Fields, Jeanine Stem, Ernest (Helen) Howell, and Terence (Linda) Howell; and several nieces and nephews.
