BEACH, Edward W. “Ed” - Of Flint, age 87, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at The Pines of Burton.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend John K. Price officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Edward was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 23, 1927, the son of the late Lloyd W. and Anna M. (Kossuth) Beach. On June 19, 1949 he married Geraldine Cummings and she preceded him in death in July, 2005. Ed was a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved golf and counted cross stitch. Ed was also an avid baseball fan. He was a Tax Appraiser for the City of Flint, retiring in 1982 after 25 plus years.
Surviving are daughter, Lucinda (Richard) Heath;
six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sons, Dennis and Kenneth Beach and grandson, Alex.
