Joyce Elaine (nee Dominy) Kline, age 79, of Burton passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on July 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held at at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM for friends. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with visitation at 12:00 PM.
Joyce was born September 3, 1943 to Bertha Mae (Lannon) and Lloyd Owen Dominy. She was the third born of 11 children. She married David N. Kline in July of 1962 and they began their own family. She was a wonderful mom, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved God, her family, camping and was an avid gardener. We would be remiss to tell you how much she loved her Farmville after her retirement from GM.
She was preceded in death by her husband David N. Kline, daughter Deana L. Palmer, parents Bertha and Lloyd Dominy, brothers Donald Dominy, Charles Dominy and Leary Dominy, sisters Delores VanHorn, Beatrice Creed, Barbara Dominy, Sharon Bowyer and Beverly Vanderpool, brother-in-law Buck Kline, sister-in-laws Carol Lamoreaux and Barbara Robinson, many nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind her daughters Debra (Ted) Adkins and Darla (Mark) Ellis; grandchildren Shelby Ann-Kline Adkins and Dalton Samuel-Kline Adkins; sister Rose (Oscar) Alvarado, brother Lester (Lucricia) Dominy; aunt Margaret Tarrence; Sisters-in-law Florence Medling, Virginia Oglesby, Judy Kline; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the Compassus Hospice Team and their wonderful staff. Thank you Kimberly Creed and Laurie Molina for making it possible for her to be at home the last several months. Thank you to all the Creed cousins for all the love, help and support. We could not have done this without you. Thank you Sue Dominy for staying with our mom so we could be at the hospital with Hanna.
