Terrance (Terry) Rau was born August 10th, 1955, in Flint, MI.and passed away on December 23rd, 2023. He was the son ofEdgar and Mary (Rohdy) Rau. He attended Gaines, Swartz Creek, and Durand schools.
After school, Terry began his 45-year career where he worked in construction with the laborer’s union. He officially retired in March 2014.
Terry married Susan (Sue) Lynn Rau (Smithingell) on October 19th, 1974. Terry and Sue were married for 49 years and resided in Durand, MI.
Terry is survived by his wife Sue, their three children, Adam Rau (Kim), Scott Rau (Becky) and Kelly Huff (Nick) along with their eight grandchildren. Dakota, Baylee, Nicholas JR., Seasan, Xander, Kaine, Paige and Cameron.
His siblings, Tom Rau of Burton, MI and two sisters, Kathy Elford-Stokell of Winter Haven, Fla. and Kim Rau-Redman of Kalkaska, MI and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Charles.
Terry enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, and attending a weekly men’s breakfast with the old-timers. Most of all, Terry loved spending time with his family and friends and really looked forward to Christmas.
The celebration of life for Terry will take place on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, officiated by Pastor Steve Rau at Shiawassee Harvest Church in Corunna, MI. Visitation is from 11AM-1PM with the funeral service immediately following.
Memorial donations will be given to the family.
