Richard Warren Rollman, 81, of Oregon, OH. passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Dick was born to Harold and Hazel Rollman on April 15, 1929. He served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. A former truck driver, Dick retired from Ace Hardware.
Known for his gift of gab, Dick never knew a stranger. He enjoyed playing cards on weekends and always had his dog, Sandi, by his side. Dick enjoyed spending time with all of his relatives and friends. An avid fisherman and hunter, he loved spending time in Northern Michigan with his old buddies at the cabin.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lindy and Dale; sisters, Dorothy, Ethel and Barbara. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen; daughter, Dolly (Randy) Ames; grandchildren, Richard Mag, Andrea Finkbeiner and Jeanell (Ryan) Finn; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Nicholas, Kelsie, Nora, Mary Kate and Will; sisters, Ila Steele, Dolly Siepert, Donna Abdo, Kay (Ken) Sarka; brother-in-law, Ted Bartlebaugh; numerous nieces and nephews and longtime friends, Lloyd and Lynn Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29th, from 3 pm until 9 pm at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Dick’s memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
