REINIG, Edward William III – of Clio, age 82, died Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Gross Assisted Living. Honoring Edward’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
Edward was born June 27, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Shreve) Reinig Jr. He grew up in Bay City, Michigan and graduated from TL Handy High School with the class of 1959. He served his country in the US Army. On April 6, 1963 he married Nancy Ford in Bay City, Michigan. Edward and his wife owned and operated the Ed’s Superette Grocery Store in Otter Lake, Michigan and Betty’s Grocery Store in Bay City. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, the Lion Club and the American Legion in Otter Lake, Michigan. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He also loved traveling with his wife.
Surviving are: Wife of 59 years, Nancy Reinig; Children, Mark (Deanna) Reinig, Scott (Kim) Reinig, Kevin (Brooke) Reinig; Grandchildren, Eric (Breanna) Fuller, Owen Reinig, Steven Reinig, Matthew Reinig, Kayla Reinig, Shane Reinig, Hannah Reinig, Alison Reinig, Jamie Reinig, Weston Reinig, Christopher Reinig, Tanner Reinig, Anna Reinig, Colter Reinig; Siblings, Shirley Fiebke, Richard (Jeannie) Reinig; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter, Amy Reinig; Sisters, Joan Ross, Jacque Austin, Geraldine Mussblman; Special Brother in laws, Paul Fiebke, Ted Ford; Good Friend, Tony Forgash, Dale Knipp; .
