Don was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1951. After high school, Don began his career at GMI/Kettering University, where he then retired after 47 years. He loved classic cars, live music and finding fun places to enjoy with his wife and friends. He was a longtime member of Riverdale Baptist Church where he also served as a Deacon. His quick wit and humor guided so much of his life, and became known for his little nuggets of truth, leaving nothing unsaid. He was a quiet man, full of wisdom and thought, who enjoyed encouraging those around him intentionally. He took it upon himself to encourage people one-on-one, by praying and writing uplifting messages daily. He went on to serve as a greeter at McLaren Hospital so he could spread his cheer further. Most importantly, he was a wonderful dad to two kids. He was famous for writing notes to his daughter and spending hours on the phone with his son.
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elaine; children, Aaron Liversedge and Christie Myers; sister, Bonnie (Tim) Kehn; siblings-in-law, Evie Liversedge, Duane (Carol) Bouliew, Ruth (Bob) Dec, Jeff (Karen) Dec, Bryan (Jennifer) Dec, Mike (Shanda) Bouliew, Michelle (Quinn) Hill and their families; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer Liversedge, Amy (Kevin) Paschack, Eric (Emily) Liversedge and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Veva (Case) Liversedge; brother, Carmon Liversedge; and aunts, Eva and Neva Case. |
