Margaret “Peg” Mary Dreuth
Age 81 of Byron Center, formerly of Maple Grove, passed away on June 10, 2022.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Maple Grove. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM to 11:00AM at the church. Per Peg’s request, cremation has taken place.
Peg was born on April 11, 1941 to Kenneth and Imelda (Birkmeier) Hebeler in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1959. She then married Thomas Al Dreuth on March 3, 1962. They shared 31 years of marriage together, before his passing, on October 24, 1992.
During her life, Peg was a very social person, and loved spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved her granddaughter, Katie. She was Katie’s biggest fan, and showed her support by attending every sporting, and school event that she could. Peg was a parishioner of St. Michael Church in Maple Grove, and St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She worked as a teacher's aid at New Lothrop Public Schools, and served as a secretary for the Maple Grove Township Hall. Later in her career, she worked for Valley School Supply, until she retired in 2004.
Left to cherish Peg’s memory are her children, Kevin (Krin) Dreuth and Karla (Chad) Lutjens; Granddaughter Katherine “Katie” Lutjens; Siblings, Norene (George) Henige, Elaine (Bob) Crummer, Dennis (Beth) Hebeler, Linda Ahti; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Imelda Hebeler; parents-in-law, Alex and Jewell Dreuth; husband, Thomas; son, Gregory “Greg” Dreuth; and sister-in-law, Monica Dreuth.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to The Dreuth Family Memorial Scholarship at Ferris State University.
