BANDY, ROBERT A. – Of Grand Blanc, age 86, died Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Brookdale Memory Care in Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Deacon Larry Blondin officiating.
Burial in Bendle Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, AA or Holy Family Catholic Church.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on October 23, 1934, the son of
Orville and Gertrude Bandy.
He was a member of the Train Collectors Association and was a member of AA and in sobriety over 40 years.
Mr. Bandy retired as a Tool & Die Maker from Buick Motor Division.
Surviving are daughters, Debra and husband Rodney Blaisdell of Mt.Morris,
Robin and husband Jeff Schneider of Indiana,
Sally and husband Steve Ferguson of Tennessee;
son, Thomas Bandy of Swartz Creek;
grandchildren, Rollie, Lauren, Neal, Mallory, Steven, Jessica, Jason, Aaron and Tyler;
5 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Judy Heddon of Florida and Rita Denton of Georgia;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline Bandy; son, Robert Allen, Jr.; parents, Orville and Gertrude.
