POULOS, Eleanor L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 92, died Friday, July 21, 2023.
Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc,
Father Peter Bistolarides officiating.
Burial in Glenwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Trisagion service will be held 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Eleanor was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on October 15, 1930, the daughter of the late George and Sevastia “Peggy” (Nome) Bizzis. On September 19, 1954, she married Nick Poulos in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and Delta Zeta. Eleanor also enjoyed reading, cooking, and was an artist.
Surviving are children, George and wife Laura Poulos, Diana and husband James McGrath and Janith Poulos;
grandchildren, Nick and wife Ashley Poulos, Stephanie Poulos, Christopher McGrath, Matthew Poulos and Lauren McGrath;
great-grandchildren, George, Vivienne and Aubrey Poulos;
nieces and nephews, Steve Bizzis, Julie Bizzis, Chris Poulos, Steve Poulos, Georgeanne Contoyannopoulos and Dimitri Madouros;
and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick and brother, Paul Bizzis.
