Davis, Robert of Flushing, age 88, died Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Ascension-Genesys Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd., Mt. Morris, Michigan. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Robert was born in Evart, Michigan on May 4, 1932, the son of Leonard and Harriett (Byers) Davis. He married Gloria Frost on September 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on February 13, 2016. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Buick Motor Division, Plant 36, for over 47 years and was also a farmer for many years. Robert loved the outdoors and was often found hunting, fishing, gardening and walking. He enjoyed all animals, especially cats and dogs.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert Jr. (Kathy) Davis, George (Lisa) Davis, Rodney Davis, Gordon Davis; grandchildren, Tommy Davis, Wade (Akiko) Davis, Lisa Davis, Deonna (Nate) Schraft, Heather (Joseph) McCracken, Ciara Davis; great-grandchildren, Rowdy, Levi, Mila, Bailey Genesis; siblings, Bessie (Bob) Hursh, Calvin (Janet) Davis, Earl (Bertha) Davis; sisters-in-law, Alice Davis, Dee Davis, and Dorothy Davis. He was also preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.
