THOMAS, Lorraine Doris - Age 86, of Fenton, died Thursday, April 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice.
Lorraine was born January 22, 1932 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Edgar and Virginia (White) Burtch. She married Julian R. Thomas September 1, 1951 in Midland. She had resided in Fenton since 1961 coming from Flint. She was a volunteer for the Food Pantry.
Surviving are: her husband of 66 years, Julian; 5 children, Dwight Carroll Thomas of Fenton, Gregory Allen Thomas of Fenton, Juliann and husband Robbie Roberson of Clarkston, Loren Ray Thomas of Fenton, and William Robert and wife Jeni Thomas of Vanderbilt; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Ralph of Edwardburg and Johnny and wife Sally Ralph of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Thomas; sister, Bonnie Ax; and brother, Richard Ralph. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
