Robert Elton Hunt, age 87, of Mount Morris, Michigan passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Robert was born on March 9, 1936, in Holly, Michigan. He was a talented and caring man. He enjoyed woodwork, golfing, watching the birds he fed, and winters in South Carolina. Robert loved horses and had ridden with the Lapeer County Sheriff posse. He collected Budweiser items and even went to Missouri to see the Clydesdales. For a number of years, Robert was a little league coach and umpire and an announcer at the local 4-H events. He served in the Army 82 Airbourne with great pride. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Ruth; his children Lori (Kevin) Hammer of Davison, MI, Julie (Pierre) King of Attica, MI, and Paula (Robert) Pender of Burton, MI, Brooke Morrison of Davison, MI, and Britney Stevens of Birch Run, MI; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Robert is preceded in death by his son Patrick Hunt, and daughter in law Kathy Hunt.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. A funeral service for Robert will be on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 12pm with a one hour visitation prior at 11am at Brown Funeral Home. Robert will then be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan following the services.
