NESTOR, Rita – of Clio, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, age 78, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at McLaren Flint. Family will receive visitors at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday, June 1, from 4PM until 8PM. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Associated or The American Lung Association.
Rita was born May 18, 1943, to the late William and Agnes (Roemele) Vowels. She graduated from Valley High School in Louisville. Rita met the love of her life, Greg Nestor and they married on May 8, 1965, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church of Clio. She had a passion for golfing and enjoyed every minute with her family on the golf course. Rita was lively and young spirited, she enjoyed time with friends, visiting and dancing. In her younger years Rita and Greg went on family trips traveling and camping around Michigan. Above all, her life revolved around her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband. Paul “Greg” Nestor; Children: Timothy Nestor, and Larry (Kristina Berisic) Nestor; Grandchildren: Emily Nestor, and Andrew Nestor; Siblings: Doris (Richard) Bicket, Mary (Kenny) Hartlage, Ted (Carlene) Vowels; Brothers-in-law: Darwin Wheeler, and Thomas Skinner; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents: William and Agnes Vowels; Siblings: Frances Wilson, Joy Mattingley, Johnny Vowels, and sisters-in-law: Marcia Wheeler, and Sandy Skinner.
