DAVIS, David L - age 71 of Fenton, passed away September 1, 2023, after complications of prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. David was born October 30, 1951, in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Lyman and Charlotte (Houwen) Davis. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central High School. He married Lynn Friesen in August 1981. David received a bachelor's degree from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. He worked in IT support services for many years with Johnson Controls in Lapeer and Pontiac, Freedom Technologies in Brighton, and CEVA Logistics in Romulus. David was also an artist, enjoying many mediums especially drawing, print making, woodworking, carving, painting, pottery, and Paper Mache. David enjoyed running and biking and was an avid volleyball player and would stop everything when he heard a game was starting. He also loved finding deals at garage sales. David also enjoyed gardening, camping with his family and playing Trivia and card games with his family too. Surviving are wife, Lynn Friesen-Davis; three sons, Matthew (Carly) Davis of Ithaca, Eli (Kaleigh Wiseley) Davis of Owosso, and Devin Davis of Detroit; two granddaughters, Taylor and Tatum Davis; siblings, Kelley (Sande)Davis, Sharon Wilson, Julie (Dave) Pollard, Diane Davis (John Andrus), and Steve (Alison) Davis; various nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
