LUNDBERG, GARY (GUS) – Of Grand Blanc, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2026.

Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on August 13, 1947, the son of the late Jonas Arthur and Irma Elizabeth (Froberg) Lundberg.
He married Denise Major on August 12, 1978, in Flint at Salem Lutheran Church.
Gary was a member of the Lamb of God Church.
He worked for over 30 years for GM.
Gary will be remembered for his larger-than-life sense of humor and his unforgettable, laugh out loud one-liners. He had a natural gift for making friends wherever he went and could fill any room with laughter.
Faith was a cornerstone of Gary's life. His unwavering devotion to his church remained strong throughout his life, even taking communion at his hospital bedside and at home while on hospice.
Gary shared a loving marriage of over 47 years with his wife Denise. Together they built a home where all felt welcomed and shared a lifetime of memories. He cherished the family they created. He took every opportunity to share stories and proudly brag about his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.
While he made his home downstate, Gary's heart was always in Rapid River located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It was there that he found great joy in the outdoors. Whether it was hunting camp or competing in black powder and bow competitions, where he truly excelled.
He had a deep love for adventure and the open road as an avid Harley-Davidson rider. From trips to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to travels through Yellowstone and even Gettysburg, Gary embraced the journey. He even towed a small pop-up camper behind his bike, making sure he and his friends could travel and sleep in style.
After earning a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from the University of Michigan, Gary chose to follow a different path, dedicating his career to skilled trades as an electrician at General Motors. He remained with GM until assisting in the closure of Buick City.
Gary's legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave freely, and his childlike curiosity and love for life that inspired those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Surviving are his wife Denise;
Daughters, Rani (Peter) Garcia, Mary (Nathan) Schlis;
Grandchildren, Austin, Bella, Dominic, Riley;
Many nieces, nephews and his adopted daughter Denise Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lewis, sister-in-law Lois, sister Joan and brother-in-law John.
