DOTSON, Dallas “DT” - Of Burton, age 78, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his residence.
Visitation will be held 2pm until a 6pm Memorial Service on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation will continue until 7pm at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Food Bank.
Dallas was born in Paw Paw, Virginia on March 4, 1943, the son of the late Charlie and Ida (Thomas) Dotson. He was employed with General Motors Truck Plant for 30 years. After retirement from GM, he worked at Flint Distributing for nearly 30 more years. Dallas was an avid golfer and looked forward to his annual trip to Perry, Georgia.
Surviving are wife of 49 years, Sandy;
Daughters, Connie (John) Skalski and Angie (Lee) Heighton;
Step-son, Scott (Karen) Miller;
7 grandchildren and 10.5 great-grandchildren;
siblings, Hubert (Connie) Dotson, Sybil Blankenship and Ruth (Bill) Parker;
and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Diana Miller, brothers, Robert, Willard, Carl, Troy, Glenn, Russell, Dave, Charlie Boyd, sisters, Pansy, Annarae, Ilene.
