Anna Branoff, age 85 of Flint, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, August 29, 2020 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Rd., Burton. Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am at church. For those who are more comfortable being at an outdoor gathering, burial and graveside service will be held approximately at 12:45pm at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church or Kindred Hospice. Anna was born in Bouf, Macedonia on May 10, 1935. In 1936 her family moved to Flint, Michigan. She attended Whittier Jr. High, then Flint Central. She began her professional career in the accounting department at GM and retired after 32 years of service. Anna was an avid sports fan, but was especially passionate about her U of M football. She also enjoyed spending time at the Hurley Health and Fitness Center. She was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and was very active in many church programs. After the passing of her siblings, Anna became the central spoke of her family. Her family would like to give special thanks to Mary Yana Burau for all of her help, care, and spiritual support, and to Kindred Hospice for their continuous care and compassion. Anna is survived by nephews: Dennis (Alexis), Matthew, Chris (Kim), Mark (Sally), Steve (Jaina), Tim (Karen), Terry (Jorge); 11 great nieces and nephews; special close cousins; lifelong friends: Betty Mahoney and Addamae Akin. Daughter of the late Vasil and Todora Branoff, she was also preceded in death by brothers: Kosta, Tom V., and Antonios; nephew, Anthony.
